Paying off your monthly credit card balances is a smart financial move and the Citibank Gold Card can give you plenty of rewards as incentive for doing so. If you are over 18 and have an annual income of $35,000, you can qualify for the Citibank Gold Card.

Citibank Gold Card Overview

As Citibank cards go, the Citibank Gold Card does not have the lowest interest rate but it does offer some really great rewards. Qualified customers can receive a credit limit of up to $25,000 along with 55 days free interest on purchases. This card is similar to the Citibank Silver card but with a much higher credit limit.

Like other premium credit cards, the Citibank Gold Card offers it cardholders free travel insurance. Plus, when you are shopping at home, all of your purchases will be protected with a program called Purchase Cover Insurance in case the items are lost, damaged or stolen.

You get 1 reward point for every dollar that you spend using your Citibank Gold Card which is a competitive figure. These points can be used for hotels, restaurants, upgrades, and other purchases. These points can also be exchanged for Qantas frequent Flyer miles.

The interest rates are only at mid-range. While there are premium credit cards with higher rates, the Gold card couldn’t be better for what it offers in return. It does come with a 1.9% balance transfer rate for the first 12 months. In addition, the Citibank Gold Card has an annual fee of $149 which is very reasonable for a premium gold card.

In Summary: While there are other competitive cards out there for the consumer to consider too, the Citibank Gold Card definitely offers some justifiable rewards and as long as you keep your balance paid, many cardholders will find the card to be a financial asset anywhere in the world.
